Personally, I think I looked like an aging queen, forced by convention to put on men’s clothes and go out without makeup for the first time in 20 years. So I’ll take “a nervous Paul McCartney” as a compliment. And as for my head, maybe it was just the shoulder pads in the suit jacket making my head look smaller, because it’s still enormously rotund.

The bride was lovely, the groom was appropriately adorably scruffy-gets-tidied-up-in-a-suit, and you, my dear Rhett, looked kind of like a nervous Paul McCartney – a marvelous good time all around and just the kind of wedding I love to go to!!
